When I print labels from the Wiredata tax database, the addresses are not lining up correctly.

Solution:
Check to make sure that you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. To check the version of Adobe Acrobat installed on your pc do the following.

  1. Open Acrobat and click on Help.
  2. Click on About Adobe Reader.

  3. A dialog box will pop up displaying the Adobe Acrobat Reader version.

  4. If you are using a version prior to 6 then you need to update your Adobe Acrobat Reader, to get an updated version click on this link www.adobe.com.

If you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader 6, 7, 8 or 9; make sure that you have changed the print settings to the same settings shown in Instructions for printing labels from Adobe Acrobat Reader found on the Generate mailing labels page. To change your print settings do the following:

  1. Click on File then Print.
  2. About halfway down on the print screen you will see the Page Handling section.
  3. For Page scaling: choose None.
  4. For Auto rotate and center make sure the check box is unchecked.
  5. For Choose paper source by PDF size make sure the check box is unchecked.

If you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader 10; on the print screen change your print settings to the following:

  1. Click on File then Print.
  2. About halfway down on the print screen you will see the Page Sizing & Handling section.
  3. For Size Options: choose Actual Size.
  4. Uncheck Auto rotate and center.
  5. Uncheck Print on both sides of paper.

Your mailing labels should now line up and print out correctly. Remember the labels use the Standard Avery 5160 (3 across 10 down) or the generic version.
