Photo Charges to Increase

Metro MLS has assisted in taking the primary photographs of properties for many years.  The technology available to Realtors® has changed as has the cost to field a photographer.  We have a few agents that still send us Polaroid prints!

Effective October 1, 2008, the price for a photograph requested by the agent through Metro MLS will increase to $15 each and a print will no longer be returned to the agent.  Copies can be downloaded through flexMLS, if necessary.  Failure to submit a photograph as required will result in MLS taking the photo and a fee of $25 will be assessed.

Photos are required on all single family, two-family, multi-family and condo listings and are strongly suggested for all listings.  Perhaps a plat map or photo that helps a potential customer to envision vacant land or a farm, or an exterior image of the business or commercial property!  Remember that your listings appear on many web sites and through flexMLS Contact emails.  Consumers prefer property listings with clear and multiple photos.  There is a limit of twenty-five photos per listing.  If you require assistance with your digital camera please call the MLS HelpLine.

Listing Contracts and Documentation

One role of Metro MLS is to monitor the accuracy and timeliness of listings submitted for publication.  We fulfill this responsibility by reviewing listing contracts and the information entered by the agent or support staff.  You are required to enter listings into the flexMLS system within forty-eight (48) hours following the contract date (Term of the Contract).  You must also send us by mail or hand delivery - a copy of the printout of the data entered and a copy of the front and signature page of the contract.  Please do NOT fax copies to us.

Failure to submit the required paperwork or the late entry of a listing may result in sanctions being applied to your monthly invoice.  If there are reasons that your submission is late please provide us a note to that effect when you send your paperwork.  If we call requesting copies of listing contracts or amendments, please cooperate and respond promptly.
