Instructions to Submit
Photos via E-MAIL

- Photos MUST be in JPEG format. (If this is not possible, please call Kati
or the Technical Support Staff at the MLS. We may still be able to accommodate you). Use
maximum compression and resolution of about 72 dots per inch. Aspect
ratio of images should be about 1.4 times wider than high (about 3
½" x 5" – a regular photo).
- Attach images to an e-mail message addressed to photos@metromls.com.
It is NOT necessary to include any text in the body of the message.
- Attach photos as MLS#.jpg. (Listing #432456 would be called 432456.jpg.)
The only way to identify a photo is through the MLS# entered. It is
important to check all entries for accuracy.
- Do NOT send regular photos or copies of digital photos with the
listing contract if a photo was already e-mailed to the above address.
- To send pictures for multiple listings at once, please attach all digital photos to ONE e-mail message. Do NOT create an e-mail message
for each picture. (For example, four separate photos should be sent in one e-mail message.).
- Image size should be UNDER 50K, with the 8K to 30K range preferred.
Very large images will be returned unprocessed!
- Remember, square or odd sized images will be cropped by MLS to the size
mentioned above. Be sure that the digital photo sent to us will allow
for that type of cropping (or better yet, do the cropping yourself
before e-mailing the image to us!).
The MLS processes all photos received each day. If you e-mail a photo by
3:00 PM (1:00 PM Fridays), it should appear in the Flex system the next business day. As with all
photos sent to the MLS, we encourage you to check the system for accuracy.
